Grant McDonald Trusts the Process as Pro-Form’s New Chicago-based Sales Representative
Grant McDonald is the newest member of Pro-Form’s national sales team. Based in Chicago, Grant steps into his role as Sales Representative with a combination of creative insight, people-first energy and a passion for problem-solving.
Expanding Pro-Form’s Presence in Chicago
“We’re excited to strengthen our presence with a representative in Chicago. As a Midwest-based manufacturer, we’ve always had customers in Chicago and the surrounding areas. Having someone with Grant’s customer mindset in the area makes it possible for us to do more consultations on site and serve customers directly,” says Trey DeHart, Pro-Form’s Vice President, Business Development.
Grant will focus on developing new relationships, identifying customer pain points and offering hands-on, on-site support.
“This role is about getting out there, visiting facilities and warehouses and learning firsthand how we can help,” Grant says. “I’m excited to be that boots-on-the-ground presence and show customers the value Pro-Form can bring.”
Creativity and Connection
Grant hails from south Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Mass Communication and Journalism with a Bachelor of Arts in Entertainment and Media Studies, a Studio Art minor and a Writing Certificate. He developed communication, storytelling and visual thinking skills at UGA that continue to influence his approach to customer relationships and solution-driven sales.
Grant worked in operations, fulfillment and marketing roles before Pro-Form. He’s gained experience in logistics, customer service, workflow coordination, brand development, communicating with clarity, managing details and building trust with partners and customers.
While looking for steady work he stumbled upon Pro-Form through LinkedIn. Reading a job posting he realized his father had worked with DeHart in the past. That connection sparked a conversation, a manufacturing facility visit and eventually a job offer.
A Natural Fit with Pro-Form
Between college and starting his career, Grant fulfilled a longtime dream of backpacking across Europe, a trip that took him from Amsterdam to Greece. That same curiosity, adaptability and boldness led him to leave the south and take a chance on the big city.

Balancing Work and Life
Grant spends his free time as an artist, writer and filmmaker. He even has several screenwriting credits to his name. His artistic discipline influences his philosophy to trust the process.
“When you’re starting something new like a move, job or creative project, it may not look perfect at first. But if you stick with it, it comes together,” he says.
